It was just a fine choice for a swift visit in Kailua-Kona with value for price. The staff was very pleasant.

We scored a spacious room with an unexpected ocean view — a lucky break. Check-in was frustrating, taking over 20 minutes with some mismanagement. The Mai Tai bar provided a pleasant sunset spot, but was understaffed and closed too early. The location is a major asset, right on the water, complemented by a fine air-conditioned room. Amenities like the pool and gym, however, fell short. The murky pool and small gym were disappointing. Customer service showed potential; the front desk staff handled our concerns about fleas with commendable kindness, offering solutions without pressure. The crumbling stucco and rock tunes detracted from the island vibe. These improvements could enhance the experience even further.

Everything was great during 2 days, loved its marvellous and best possible location really close to the ocean and sea front and the center. Room was functional and immaculate with climate control, a private safe and a fridge. The staff was pleasant as we expected.

Great location but some quirks
The ocean view was awesome and we loved walking to nearby restaurants. The lagoon was a hit with the fam! Just wish the beds were more comfortable. We started in a room that wasn’t what we booked, but the staff helped us move into a better one the next day.

We loved location and cleanliness, they were perfect. The restaurant was good for dinner and breakfast, it had delicious dishes.
The bed was uncomfortable, that's sad thing.

Thomas
The room lighting was terrible—mix of bulbs gave me a headache, and I could barely read by the bed. Plus, the plugs for the coffee maker were dangerously over the sink. Just a frustrating experience overall.

I was there for 2 nights and ate at seaside restaurant at Don Mai's bar and restaurant. The location was great, to everything you could want, and the room was updated.

The room was adequately clean, but it felt dated and needed some love. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable, affecting our sleep quality. Noise levels from Alii Rd made it difficult to relax at night. While we had a view of the parking lot, the oceanfront rooms likely offered a better experience. The bathroom was in rough shape; the showerhead needed cleaning and the water spigot was crooked. A musty smell lingered, contributing to an overall sense of neglect.

Pitch with an ideal location to stay in Kona. The swimming pool is very good. The setting is quite exceptional. The staff is always available. Excellent!
I didn't appreciate the breakfast and pay WIFI. Paid WIFI is from another time. parking is also paying.

From scuba diving with manta rays to enjoying Hawaiian music, we had it all. The saltwater lagoon provided a safe space for our kids to snorkel and explore marine life.
My wife says that for dads it would be great to have more family-friendly evening entertainment options.

The location is ideal, quiet... The equipment is optimal: everything you need to cook, snorkel fins, beach towels at your disposal etc... The swimming pool and patio are very pleasant with sunsets at the top.
Carpet everywhere, not ideal compared to the sand you can bring back from the beach... The interior style is a bit old-fashioned
